About Neil D. Bass
Neil D. Bass founded the Bass Tax Group (formerly SmarTax) in 2006 with a vision to assist SEC registrants in achieving their income tax accounting objectives. Leveraging his background as a Big Four auditor, Neil developed the concept of SmarTax, which has evolved into the trusted Bass Tax Group.
Neil specializes in:

His experience spans a range of industries, including consumer products, healthcare, high-tech, banking, and manufacturing. He has worked with U.S. multinational corporations, inbound U.S. groups, and middle-market companies.
Before founding the Bass Tax Group, Neil gained valuable experience at a Big Four accounting firm, in the banking industry, and at a regional accounting firm.
Neil holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master’s in Taxation from Rutgers University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
